Hi-tip Barrows a Hit
The two TCP Hi-T500 skip loading power barrows that arrived last month are proving a great acquisition, and when you see their spec its easy to see why.
Narrow access, good payload
At just 700mm wide the Hi-T500 goes just about anywhere, including through a 2’6″ doorframe. It has a carrying capacity of 500kg (200 litres) and can tip to 1200mm – the height of a standard skip. The high tipping linkage design also allows for a full 180 degree discharge of the payload at low level.
Reduced noise and vibration
The Hi-T500 boasts a reduction in noise levels to conform to the 2006 Noise at Work regulations and the ergonomically designed operating position has been independently verified to reduce hand/arm vibration (HAV).
Powerful engine, great performance
Fitted with an electric start Kubota OC95 diesel engine the Hi-T500 has a forward speed of 4kph and the drive and control are fully hydrostatic.
The TCP Hi-T500 skip loading power barrow can be hired at £150 per week (less applicable discount) + vat.
Skip loading power barrows can be found in the Dumpers section of our hire catalogue.
Volvo 8 Tonne Makes an Instant Impression
The new Volvo ECR88 8.2 tonne mini excavator has been hard at work since it was added to the fleet in December and everyone seems to agree that it is a quality machine.
With a short swing radius and offset digging position the ECR88 is comfortable to use in tight spaces. Wear and tear on the operator is also reduced by a rubber mounted cab and a heating and air conditioning system.
The latest low emission, water-cooled, direct injection volvo 4-cylinder diesel engine gives the ECR88 its power. While the auto-idling system coupled with the load sensing hydraulic system allows for increased efficiency.
The safety of the operator and those around him has also been dealth with as a priority by the designers. The cab has large flat windows within narrow cab pillars for excellent visibility and safety.
All in all the Volvo ECR88 is one serious digger.
New Pressure Tester
Just added to our range is a Rothenberger RP50 Precision Test Pump.
The RP50 is used for quick and exact compression testing and leak testing on pipe systems and containers in plumbing and heating installation, and in boiler and pressure vessel manufacture.

The Rothenberger RP50 can be found in the Plumbing & Drainage Equipment section of our hire catalogue.

More New Arrivals
January saw the arrival of a new Brian James triple-axle car transporter trailer and Thwaites 1-tonne Hi-tip dumper.
We are also awaiting this month the arrival of a new Kubota K008-3 0.8-tonne mini excavator.
These three items replace those stolen from our yard on Saturday November 18 2006.
The Brian James has a 4.8m tilting bed and a carrying capacity of 2.7kg. It also comes fitted with a manual winch with central pulley that provides a drag capacity of 2250kg.
The Thwaites 1-tonne Hi-tip dumper is perfect for skip loading especially on sites where space is at a premium. It measures just 1115mm wide and has a discharge height up to 1.6m.
The Kubota K008 is the ideal choice where access is limited. It has hydraulically adjustable tracks that make it just 700mm wide for access and 860mm for working.
