New Lorry on the Road

1st May 2019

Our new Scania P320 plant lorry, on order since last June, arrived today.

With a plant body built to our exact specification in Yorkshire by Sterling and a gross capacity of 26,000kg, this state-of-the-art vehicle takes pride of place in our fleet.

Trio of Genies

1st April 2019

To keep up with demand for the hugely popular Genie SLA-15 Superlift we added three more to our fleet in March.

The SLA-15 is a compact, portable material lift suitable for a variety of loads. It has a maximum lifting height of 4.46m (14’ 7”) and a lifting capacity of 363kg. For heavier lifts two or more can be combined.

Three New Hinowa Mini Dumpers

Hinowa HS701 Skip Loading Tracked Mini DumperFebruary’s arrival of three new Hinowa HS701 skip loading tracked mini dumpers increases our fleet to six.

The hugely popular Hinowa HS701 is a compact tracked mini dumper with very low ground pressure. Designed to easily pass through a garden gateway, it also feature a hi-tip mast lift for tipping into skips or onto flat-bed trailers. This combination makes the HS701 great for shifting dirt, sand and gravel from the front to the rear of a property.

Green Seat Belt Beacons Fully Available

Excavator, dumper and roller showing the green flashing beaconsThe requirement on many construction sites these days for green flashing beacons (signifying that the operator is wearing a seat belt) to be fitted to excavators, dumpers and rollers is becoming more and more prevalent. With this is mind we are taking measures to fit them to all of our machines.

So if you need a green seat belt beacon fitted just specify at the point of ordering.

Two Manitou Telehandlers Arrive

New Manitou TelehandlersDemand for the excellent Manitou MT625 6.0m Telehandler continues to be strong so we’ve added two more to our fleet.

The MT625 is a compact telehandler (1.92m in height and 1.81m wide) allowing it to easily get around site and under height restricted areas. It has a lifting capacity of 5.85m and 2500kg.

We can supply it with standard forks and/or a rehandling bucket.

Its Kubota diesel engine is optimised for exceptionally low fuel consumption, while providing enough power to carry out the jobs in hand.

New Kubota 3t Excavators

New Kubota 3tonne ExcavatorsWe have taken delivery of two new Kubota KX030-4 3.0t mini excavators. The KX030-4 is Kubota’s base 3.0t machine, replacing the perennially popular KX71-3 in 2018.

As well as offering Kubota’s world-renowned combination of power and performance, the KX030-4 boasts the biggest, most comfortable cab in its class, providing excellent visibility thanks to the expansive glazing.

The KX030-4 utilises Kubota’s excellent chip-key anti-theft system. This system makes each individual machine impossible to start without its dedicated key and almost eliminates entirely the risk of theft.

The KX030-4 is just 1500mm wide, 2420mm high and can dig to a depth of 2870mm.

New Bomag 120AD-5 Arrives

New Bomag 120AD-5 Arrives at Didcot Plant

With demand for ride-on rollers high we have added another Bomag 120AD-5 to our growing fleet.

The 120AD-5 is the larger of the two ride-on rollers that we offer, complimenting the 800mm wide drum 80AD-5.

The Bomag 120 AD-5 is used for earthwork and asphalt applications on new construction projects and repair work.

Petrol Pump Fleet Overhauled

New Hilta Sprite Petrol Driven Water Pumps available for hire from Didcot PlantWe have totally refreshed our petrol pump fleet with the purchase of five new Hilta Sprite 2” petrol driven water pumps since November.

The Hilta Sprite has been widely considered for many years to be the best small engine-driven pump on the market, offering robustness of design and reliabilty of operation. It can give a maximum output of 2500 gallons per hour and handle solids up to a maximum of 20mm, with a total head capability of 18 metres. And at a compact 45kg it is easily transported.

New Portable Masonry Saws

New portable masonry saws available for hire from Didcot PlantToday we have updated our portable masonry saw bench fleet with the addition of the Clipper CM42.

This 110v bench saw is a strong, reliable, extremely user friendly machine, ideal for the intermittent wet and dry cutting of a wide variety of small masonry materials, concrete products, roof tiles etc, and can be used with 350mm/14″ diameter diamond blades, giving a maximum cut of 90mm deep and 600mm long.

Big Investment in Hire Fleet

26th June 2018

2018 has been a big year for us for major plant purchases. Since the turn of the year we have added:

  • 12 no. Excavators (3 x 0.8t, 5 x 1.5t, 3 x 3.0t & 1 x 6.0t)
  • 5 no. Dumpers (2 x track barrow, 1 x 1.0t, 1 x 3.0t & 1 x 6.0t)
  • 6 no. 5/3 ½ Diesel Mixers

We have also added 19 no. petrol engine items (including 9 x compactor plates, 3 x 6kva generators & 3 x 18” floor saws).

These additions have been inspired by customer demand and the desire to offer the best kit possible.
