Featured Equipment
Skip loading power barrow
Since the introduction of TCP Hi-T500 Skip Loading Power Barrows to our hire fleet in January 2007 they have proven to be one of our most popular items. But when you consider what they can do it is not hard to work out why.
Narrow access, good payload
At just 700mm wide the Hi-T500 goes just about anywhere, including through a 2’6″ doorframe. It has a carrying capacity of 500kg (200 litres) and can tip to 1200mm – the height of a standard skip. The high tipping linkage design also allows for a full 180 degree discharge of the payload at low level.
Reduced noise and vibration
The Hi-T500 boasts a reduction in noise levels to conform to the 2006 Noise at Work regulations and the ergonomically designed operating position has been independently verified to reduce hand/arm vibration (HAV).
Powerful engine, great performance
Fitted with an electric start Kubota OC95 diesel engine the Hi-T500 has a forward speed of 4kph and the drive and control are fully hydrostatic.
Service
Quality of service sets us apart
For a long time we have focused on the quality of the service that we provide you – the quality of service that sets us apart from our competition. This focus concentrates on various aspects of our service to ensure you enjoy real benefit from our efforts.
Our team
Throughout Didcot Plant there are experienced plant and tool hire people. In the hire department alone the average industry experience is 15 years. This is typical throughout the firm and explains why dealing with us is so painless – everyone knows what they are doing.
Transport
If equipment does not arrive on site promptly it is hard for you to do a good job and standing about waiting for kit just makes you look bad to your customer. This is why we have at least five delivery vehicles on the road all day every day, ensuring we maintain our reputation for fast delivery times.
Maintenance
Our workshop team are dedicated to turning out plant and tools maintained to the highest of standards. Following off-hire each item of petrol or diesel plant is pressure washed off before getting a check of all levels and a top up of the fuel tank. As well as a clean, each item of electrical equipment also undergoes ‘Clare’ electrical safety testing after every hire to ensure it is safe for use.
On site response
Despite the most vigorous of maintenance procedures on site breakdowns and problems are unavoidable, but it is how they are dealt with that sets the best hire companies apart. With two dedicated outside fitters on constant stand-by we can attend site quickly and offer a repair or exchange of the problematic equipment getting you back to work without too much fuss.
Administration
The quality of our service does not stop at off-hire but continues into the invoicing and administration procedures. Month after month we experience practically 0% invoice queries. This is thanks to our excellent paperwork systems and the care we take in producing accurate and clear invoices.
Price
But does all this extra quality make us overly expensive? No, you will always find our prices to be very competitive and on many occasions we are cheaper than the competition. And don’t forget we are always willing to talk price when the situation merits it.
Martyn Birch
The provision of quality
Having spent nearly thirty years in the hire industry, the last eleven with Didcot Plant, I am confident that I know a fair bit about the importance of customer service and the provision of quality with respect to this.
Anybody that knows me will tell you that I am totally committed to providing all our customers with the best possible service. This means prompt response, friendly, knowledgeable and professional communications, quality and reliability of products (and the backup that goes with them), honesty and, finally, customer satisfaction.
That is what we are all about here at Didcot Plant.
In an industry where competition is pretty fierce, whether it is the nationals or local independent hire companies, we all are judged on what our customers say and do. They have the right to decide when, where, what and who. It is up to us to influence that decision.
We take our responsibilities seriously. There are many aspects of our industry that are complex and regulatory, so we must ensure that our customers are given every opportunity to feel confident in dealing with a supplier that really cares.
With the benefit of not only my experience but also the combined two hundred years of hire industry experience of the rest of the team here at Didcot Plant, there comes an understanding and respect of customers’ requirements so they can in turn fulfil their own tasks in hand.
It is with this in mind that if you place your trust in employing our services we will assure you of our best attention.
