Active ACT300, 12" (30cm) Cut Professional Turf Cutter
The Active AC300 Turf Cutter is the compact and robust solution for stripping and lifting turf, suitable for both domestic garden and professional landscaping environments.
It features the powerful Honda GX200 petrol engine, detachable handles for easier transportation and a simple drive system of two forward gears. First gear is used when the cutting blade is engaged in the ground, allowing the AC300 to drive at the optimal speed for cutting turf up to 35mm deep. Second gear is for transporting, although on smooth ground neutral is usually the best option because the AC300 free wheels quite nicely.
Instructions for use:
- Cut the grass short
- Make sure the ground is soft enough to sink a garden fork in without excessive pressure (water if necessary)
- Dig a small trench to allow the turf cutter’s blade a starting point
- Set the blade to the desired depth of cut and engage the oscillating blade
- Select first gear and let the turf cutter do the work
- Once you have come to the end of the first cut simply turn the machine around, line up the outside of the front wheel with the edge of the first cut and continue
