Lighting the Way This Autumn

Photo of lighting towersAs the nights start to draw in this autumn make sure you’re not left in the dark.

The recent introduction to the hire fleet of Ingersoll Rand L10 Lighting Towers (pictured on the Edmund Nuttall contract in Station Road, Didcot) compliment the existing range of lighting equipment to provide illumination for every occasion.

The Ingersoll Rand L10 is fitted with a power operated mast that can take the four 1000w light heads to a height of 10m. Once erected these light heads can be rotated automatically.

The Mitsubishi L2E diesel engine is fitted with a long running 80 litre fuel tank for continuous use from dusk to dawn.

For the smaller lighting requirement there is the 5m mast light. Light-weight and easy to transport and store, the 5m mast light is fitted with four 500w tungsten halogen light heads. It can be powered by either a generator or by mains power through a transformer.

Indoor lighting jobs can be served by the 500w tungsten halogen floodlights on tripod stands. These are available in either single head or double head versions.

Also available are 500w carry-lights which are ideal for smaller jobs.

Fluorescent plasterers lights provide excellent light for internal jobs because they are designed to produce practically no shadow.

The Ingersoll Rand L10 is available for hire at £150 per week + vat. The 5m Mast Light is £40 per week + vat. The 500w Tungsten Halogen lights and the Plasterers lights are £12 per week + vat and Carry Lights are £10 per week +vat.

Basil Hill Road: a Year On

Photo of Basil Hill Road depotThis September we are celebrating the first anniversary of our move from Richs Sidings to Basil Hill Road.

“It has proved to be a most successful move for the company.” said Managing Director Fred Tarrant, “The extra space and vastly improved facilities have made life so much better for customers and staff alike.”

The expansion to the hire fleet, made possible by the larger yard, is well under way. This year has seen the addition of new 5 and 3.5 tonne mini excavators and larger dumpers will be added in the very near future.

Cordless Range Extended

An extended range of De Walt Cordless power tools has been added to the hire fleet.

After an extended trial of several makes and models, we have initially chosen a selection of 18volt and 24volt drill/drivers, hammer drills, circular saws and jigsaws from De Walt’s range.

With the advances made in recent years, the technology, reliability and power of these tools has increased their popularity. With the obvious benefits of cordless working in both construction and DIY fields we are confident that this excellent range will assist our customers to complete their tasks easily and efficiently.
