Investment continues as four
new additions to fleet arrive
Our recent run of investing in the hire fleet showed no signs of letting up in April as we added four more items of capital plant.
These were a Thwaites 6-tonne Swivel Skip Dumper, a Bomag 120AD-3 Roller, a Kubota K008-3 0.8-tonne Mini Excavator and a Kubota KX71-3 3-tonne Mini Excavator.
Thwaites 6-tonne Swivel Skip Dumper
The Thwaites 6-tonne Swivel delivers power and performance combined with impressive carrying capacity. It will carry 6000kg in weight or 3150 litres of heaped or 2550 litres of struck load.
Bomag 120AD-3 Roller
The Bomag 120AD-3 offers outstanding performance in a compact and manoeuvrable roller for a wide variety of applications.
Kubota K008-3 0.8-tonne Mini Excavator
The Kubota K008 has been one of our most popular diggers for many years. Its combination of size and digging power make it the perfect choice where space on site is at a premium.
Kubota KX71-3 3-tonne Mini Excavator
The Kubota KX71 has always been a class act and the new dash 3 version is no different. The latest design features like coded ignition keys and protected hydraulic hoses have improved it even further.

Save the lawn from damage
with our new Track Mats
In April we added Track Mats to our extensive range of equipment.
Weighing just 39kg these 2.4m x 1.2m polyethylene mats are easy to handle and can be used to eliminate damage to lawns and landscaped areas or to provide traction for vehicles working in mud or sand.
They can also be used to provide a clean walkway for pedestrians over un-surfaced areas.
They are particularly suitable for use in situations where reducing the cost of ground restoration is a factor.

covered with our GRP plates
Road Plates have traditionally been made out of steel which made them very heavy and difficult to handle but these new products are made out of Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) and are a fraction of the weight of their steel equivalents. Despite being much lighter they do not lose any of their strength either.
Heavy Duty Road Plate
The Heavy Duty Plate measures 1400mm x 1400mm and weighs 47kg, making it suitable for two men to carry. It will support cars and loaded HGVs travelling across road openings and trenches with a maximum width of 700mm. Each of the four edges is chamfered to minimise potential tyre damage.
Light Duty Trench Cover
The Trench Cover is designed for lighter uses where nothing heavier than a car will be passing over the opening (max. 700mm width). It measures 1200mm x 1000mm and weighs just 16kg making it a comfortable one man carry.
The GRP Road Plates can be hired at £25 per week (less applicable discount) + vat.
The GRP Trench Covers can be hired at £10 per week (less applicable discount) + vat.
