At the end of November we took delivery of another Volvo EC55C 5-tonne excavator, an increasingly popular size of machine.

Newly added to our hire fleet this month is the Cormidi C6.60 Skip Loading Power Barrow.

These diesel engine mini dumpers have a carrying capacity of 600kg and a tipping height of 1675mm, and at just 695mm wide can access even the most restricted sites.

The sleek design of the Cormidi has user comfort firmly in mind, with an operator platform and newly designed control console, and the soundproofed glass fibre engine canopy minimises noise emissions.

New this month is an HGI XK200P 200amp arc welder/generator. As well as 200 amps of welding capability the generator provides 3.5 kva of power. The 6.5 litre fuel tank gives a full load running time of 3 hours.

The DeWalt DW780-LX compound sliding mitre saw, newly introduced to our range, is the professional choice for outstanding cutting of small profiles and large construction timbers.

The 305mm 60 tooth TCT blade gives up to 110mm of cutting depth.

Just added to our fleet are two new Cleanwell R13/100 Hot & Cold Pressure Washers.

The R13/100 provides 1500psi (100Bar) of pressure at 13 litres per minute.

Just arrived, boosting our trailer fleet, is a superb Ifor Williams BV105 Box Van Trailer.

The BV105 Box Van has load area dimensions of 1470mm (W) x 3000mm (L) x 1830mm (H) and a cubic capacity of 8.72 cu. metres. It has a carrying capacity of 1885kg.

The combination ramp/doors and front access door makes this a versatile trailer. The rear ramp is particularly useful, making heavy items easier to load with the use of a sack truck.

At the end of March we took delivery of two new Thwaites Alldrive 2 tonne Powerswivel dumpers, supplied by Leach Lewis Plant Ltd.

The Alldrive 2 tonne Powerswivel offers a versatile dumper in a compact package. At just 1467mm wide it can access all but the tightest of sites.

It is fitted with a powerful Yanmar three-cylinder water-cooled direct-injection diesel engine, has totally enclosed multi-plate oil immersed brakes and features Thwaites’ Kinglink chassis for superior stability and traction.

In March we added another new excavator in the form of a Volvo ECR88 Plus 8.4 tonne machine, supplied by SM Plant of Rugby.

The ECR88 Plus is a hugely impressive machine, built to be comfortable, powerful and safe.

With the gardening season just about to start in earnest we have replaced our existing Honda Tiller rotavator fleet with five new Honda FE500 Tillers.

The FE500 is fitted with a powerful 5.0hp petrol engine and features an adjustable handle that can be set to suit each operators height.

The cold snap in February put our fleet of dehumidifiers under pressure and we struggled to keep up with demand. To remedy this shortfall we purchased five of the Andrews Sykes FD30 dehumidifiers.

The FD30 is ideal for building drying, minimizing building times by creating the perfect conditions for the ‘wet’ trades such as plasterers and decorators, as well as helping with drying out after flooding and water damage situations.

It is suitable for both domestic and industrial usage.
