Just arrived is the first of seven new Ingersoll Rand 7/41 compressors, bought to replace our existing fleet of Atlas Copco compressors.

The Ingersoll Rand 7/41 is fitted with a ‘Tough Top’ polyethylene hood to reduce site damage and can provide up to 141cfm of compressed air at 7 bar (100psi).

We have just taken delivery of two new HGI Generators, in the form of a 6.25kVA petrol set and a 6.0kVA super silenced diesel set.

The HRP50 6.25kVA petrol generator provides 5.0kW of power from its configuration of 2 no. 16 Amp 110v sockets and 2 no. 16 Amp 240v sockets. It has a Honda GX390 engine fitted with a 6.5 litre fuel tank that provides 3.27 hours of run time at 75% load.

The SKD60 6.0kVA super silenced diesel generator is fully canopied to comply with existing noise regulations. It provides 4.8kW of power from its configuration of 2 no. 16 Amp & 1 no. 32 Amp 110v sockets and 2 no. 16 Amp & 1 no. 32 Amp 240v sockets. Its Yanmar L100 electric start diesel engine is fitted with a 22 litre fuel tank that gives 18 hours of run time at 75% load.

Just arrived is another of the popular Kubota K008-3 0.8-tonne mini excavators.

The Kubota K008-3 offers good power output but in a portable machine that can get in to just about any site regardless of how tight the access is.

It can even go through most doorways due to its hydraulically adjustable tracks. When they are ‘in’ the overall width of the machine is just 750mm. In the ‘out’ position for working the K008 still only measures 860mm wide, making it the perfect choice when space is at a premium.

The K008 can dig to a depth of 1720mm and can be supplied with a range of buckets up to 24″.

With the new gardening season now well and truly under way we have added another Barreto 9HP rotavator.

This powerful hydraulic rotavator is built to handle testing ground conditions.

The Barreto 9HP is an all hydraulic pedestrian rear tine tiller. It weighs 200kg and is 600mm wide with a digging width of 400mm. It is ideal for mid sized areas and for hard ground. It has a tilling depth of 150mm and is fitted with a Honda 4-stroke petrol engine.

Earlier this month we added two more of the popular Thwaites 1 Tonne Hi-Tip dumpers to our fleet in response to customer demand.

We have been running this dumper in our fleet since 2004 and since day one it has been extremely popular. But when you consider its combination of size (just 1115mm wide) and load capacity (1 tonne), not forgetting the fact that it can load a skip, it is not hard to see why.

We have just taken delivery of 150 new ‘Heras’ style temporary fence panels, feet and clips.

Demand for this site fencing solution is constant, so with the 2011 festival season approaching fast we wanted to make sure we were well prepared.

These anti-climb panels are joined using rubber feet and clips to give a good semi-permanent fencing solution to construction sites and events where security is an issue.

Just arrived this month are two new Garden Master Turf Cutters.

The Garden Master Turf Cutter has been a popular part of our gardening equipment range since 2002, proving to be a capable and reliable bit of kit.

This 5.5hp machine has a 300mm cutting width and an adjustable cutting depth to 35mm. Enhancements on the latest model include:

• An extra forward gear
• Rear drive axle up-rated
• Improved depth gauge

Newly arrived in February was another Kubota KX71-3 mini excavator, supplied by Stanton Harcourt plant dealers, Leach Lewis.

We have been running the 3-tonne KX71 for many years and it has proven itself to be a supremely reliable machine.

The latest version comes with some class leading performance features:

• Cabin size delivers maximum comfort and legroom

One of things we always try to do is respond to customer demand regarding new equipment that we feel we need to add to our range of products. These products need to be a good ‘fit’ to our existing range and must have all round benefit to the hirer.

Bearing this in mind we are pleased to say we have added the Kamco CF30 Central Heating Power Flusher to our range.

This is a very specific piece of equipment aimed directly at professional tradesmen, namely plumbers and heating engineers.

The CF30 is designed to cure efficiency, circulation and boiler noise problems caused by the accumulation of sludge, corrosion deposits and scale in existing heating systems. Even more importantly given the costly investment of having a new boiler installed, all boiler manufacturers now insist that systems must be flushed (according to BS7593 – 2006).

The CF30 comes as a complete kit, with the chemicals used in association with the operation readily available ex stock.
