New Vehicles Grace Our Fleet

The arrival of two new Fords upgraded our vehicle fleet at the end of November.

First to arrive was a superb Transit Connect. This versatile little van was bought to replace the Mercedes Vito and will be used mainly for site maintenance visits.

The second vehicle was a new Ranger pick-up truck, bought to replace the Nissan Navara 4×4. This truck will go straight into all-day-every-day delivery duties.

Both vehicles were beautifully sign-written by Stuart Cook at David Charles Group of Didcot.

New KX36 Arrives

The last day of October saw the arrival of another new Kubota KX36-3 1.5-tonne mini excavator.

This versatile machine is packed with the latest mini digger specification and has been, in Kubota’s own words, designed “to be second to none at efficiently handling the broadest range of jobs.”

The KX36-3 has the following features:

• Repositioned boom ram protects against damage

Lawnflite Added to Range

In September we added a Lawnflite Ride-on Mower to our ever expanding hire range.

The Lawnflite provides a 36″/920mm cutting width and has a collection capacity of 240 litres.

Fitted with a powerful 13.5HP Briggs & Stratton 4-stroke petrol engine, the Lawnflite is the perfect mower where a manoeuvrable large capacity tractor is required as well as a superb lawn finish.

The Lawnflite joins our comprehensive grounds care and gardening range, fitting in nicely alongside the Grillo Climber Ride-on Rough-cut Mower, added in July.

The Lawnflite Ride-on Mower and Grillo Climber CL780 Ride-on Rough-cut Mower can both be hired at £150 per week each (less applicable discount) + vat.

Fume Extractor Joins our Range

New to our range in August was a portable fume extractor.

Suitable for many working scenarios these 31cm diameter units can be used to cool, ventilate or extract clean or dirty air from both restricted and open environments at a rate of 3250 cubic meters per hour.

The fume extractor comes with 5m of ducting as standard but additional 5m lengths can be added to the hire.

The fume extractor can be hired at £60 per week (less applicable discount) + vat. Additional 5m lengths of ducting are available at £10 per week (less applicable discount) + vat.

New Stihl TS410s Join Fleet

In June we took the decision to start buying the new Stihl TS410 12″ disc cutters and the first five were put in to action in the first week in July.

More saws will be phased in over the coming months, eventually replacing the existing fleet of Partner disc cutters.

With its latest enhancements we feel that Stihl now offers the superior cutter and, as ever, it is our aim to provide you with the best kit.

New Trailer Added to Fleet

In May we purchased a new Ifor Williams GD105G general purpose trailer.

With dimensions of 10′ x 5′ it is a direct replacement for the 8′ x 4′ general purpose trailer that was recently removed from service. It is a versatile trailer that can be used for many applications inlcuding haulage of machinery and materials.

The GD105G trailer features a loading ramp and ladder rack. The framework is galvanized for maximum durability and the bed is made of hard wearing resin-coated high density plywood.

The Ifor Williams GD105G general purpose trailer is available for hire at £75 per week (less applicable discount) + vat.

Investment Continues as Four New Additions to Fleet Arrive

Our recent run of investing in the hire fleet showed no signs of letting up in April as we added four more items of capital plant.

These were a Thwaites 6-tonne Swivel Skip Dumper, a Bomag 120AD-3 Roller, a Kubota K008-3 0.8-tonne Mini Excavator and a Kubota KX71-3 3-tonne Mini Excavator.

Road Plates Join Our Range

New to our range this month are GRP Road Plates and Trench Covers.

Road Plates have traditionally been made out of steel which made them very heavy and difficult to handle but these new products are made out of Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) and are a fraction of the weight of their steel equivalents. Despite being much lighter they do not lose any of their strength either.

Three more new 3-tonne Kubota KX71-3 mini excavators arrived in February, to bolster an increasingly popular aspect of the digger fleet.
